I use an Xbox 360 controller, but you need a special wireless adapter to make it work.  Xbox one would be great too, but if on a budget Logitech make a very cheap one that works.
I tried using my steam controller in rll3 and it was really difficult, not recommended.

The Logitech ones are good for people who prefer the layout of Playstation controllers.

I switch between Xbox and Logitech without noticing too much.

Cheers guys, bought a wired x360 controller. not fussed about wireless.

...so I'm guessing still no news on the PC release date?
