Basically, he's falling short of the line. Usually, I get tackled when this happens. Rare occurrence to actually score it that way.

Its honestly just the fact that he lets go of the ball that gets me, generally they don't pick it back up, maybe im just too used to Live 2..

It appears to me that it's an animation glitch, he's swapping hands but he's also standing up, internally the game doesn't think it's left his hands at all.
