All NSW players played poorly tonight. You cannot just blame Pearce.
You actually seemed only partially retarded, like you actually may have made it halfway through 10th grade until this comment.

YES the entire Blues team was horrible. BUT Pearce directly let in 5 tries by missing tackles. Maybe not entirely to blame but cost them a good 20-30 points. Also funny how the only NSW try came from an intercept.

Are we really going to throw insults because we support different football teams? Might be time to grow up man...

Honestly I don't recall Pearce doing too much wrong he just sort of went missing. If someone backs you up and says he let in 5 tries then I'll admit he had a shit game. Doesn't change the fact he had a decent Game 1 and 2 though.

I've always said Pearce is only as good as those around him though. He isn't a guy like JT or Cronk who can create a magic play or guide a team around. He's very much a second playmaker who does his best when there isn't a lot of pressure on him. Next season when more pressure goes on him at the Roosters we'll be in a lot of trouble.
I owe you the sincerest of apologies. It was only 4 tries!

1. Papalii try
2. Inglis try
3. Michael Morgan try
4. Guerra try (especially soft defense)

Watch the highlights - he was terrible. Will never wear Blue again.

He'll wear blue again. If Adam Reynolds is injured next year it'll be Pearce in 7.

? Hodkinson was halfback, Pearce was 5/8

In numbers yeah but Pearce was usually on the right in attack with Hodkinson on the left.

And that why NSW failed tonight because they had 2 specialist half-backs in the team and their game-plan was to have 2 players on either side of the ruck which will result in lack of ball movement.

While QLD pretty much always had Cronk has first receiver, then JT as 2nd to distribute the ball outwide. And its also why QLD always loses when DCE plays

If NSW picked a proper 5/8 they prob would've scored more points but still lost the game.

I guess since we're talking about next years team I might as well list mine right now and let you all critique. I do think changes are needed:

1. Josh Dugan (Really the only realistic option unless Hayne is back then. Moylan was terrible for City, Brett Stewart is too old and Tedesco probably not experienced enough yet)

2. James Roberts (Hopoate was absolutely terrible tonight and should never play again unless we're desperate. Roberts has been impressive for the Titans and should be here. His speed would be great to have as well since Jennings is the only speedster in the NSW back line currently.)

3. Michael Jennings (Probably the only NSW player tonight to look the tiniest bit dangerous. Should be there)

4. Josh Morris (Too good to be left out. Didn't play well tonight but didn't exactly make any errors either)

5. Brett Morris (Too good to be left out)

6. Blake Austin (There are a lot of options here. Jamie Soward, James Maloney, Trent Hodkinson, Jack Bird and maybe even Todd Carney if he returns like he wants to. I think Austin needs to improve a little in defence but he should be there next year)

7. Adam Reynolds (Easily beats the other options which are Mitchell Pearce and Trent Hodkinson. Phenomenal kicking game and is a great goal kicker as well. Kind of reminds me of Trent Hodkinson just better)

8. Aaron Woods (Didn't play well tonight but in the first 2 games he was really strong. Should be there next year and for many years to come)

9. Robbie Farah © (We missed him tonight and he has a couple of years left. Should be our experienced hooker who leads the team)

10. Andrew Fifita (Probably should have got more than just the one game for NSW this year. Had a bad game 1 but has always dominated in Origin before. If he's playing well for the Sharks next year I think he's in)

11. Boyd Cordner (He played decently tonight and had a good series for a bench player. Beau Scott shouldn't be there next year due to having a poor series this year and I think Cordner is ready to make this spot his own)

12. Ryan Hoffman (Probably his last series or two but he was our best last series and did well this series. Should be there next year)

13. Greg Bird (Say what you want about Greg Bird but he's a good player and he can get under peoples skin. He brings experience and at lock there aren't a whole lot of other options out there for NSW apart from Merrin who hasn't really impressed me in Origin.)

14. James Tamou (Played terribly tonight but he did have a decent first two games and has always been at least solid for NSW. Deserves a bench spot for next year and if he's in particularly good form I'd swap him and Fifita)

15. David Klemmer (Not that great tonight but good enough off the bench. At 21 he should be someone NSW build up for years and with a decent first series under his belt he'll come back a lot more confident)

16. Tyson Frizell (Big second rower who would bring power off the bench. NSW were really missing a player like Frizell tonight)

17. Luke Lewis (Has a couple of years left in him and I think we can say that after 1 run for 8 metres the Josh Jackson experiment has failed. Lewis probably should have been there this year. Jackson didn't impress me once in the series and there are many utility options I'd prefer. Lewis is my preferred followed by Mitchell Aubusson)

---

Not a bad squad. Not too many changes but the spine looks a lot better as does the bench. You could probably say the likes of Merrin, Gallen, McManus etc were unlucky but Merrin hasn't really impressed me that much in Origin, Gallen is old and should be done this year and McManus just doesn't bring the speed I'd like from a winger.

I'd probably be looking at a new coach as well. Daley seems like a good guy and all but he doesn't seem like the type who is going to yell at players and demand them to perform for him. I'd like to see one of Craig Bellamy or Des Hasler who are two guys with proven coaching records to take the reins for next year. Don't know if NSW Origin wants a coach who is already coaching a club but I think Bellamy or Hasler could get a lot more out of the NSW Origin side.
