Our current goal is to have a concept video out by the end of November as well as get the website up and running to build a community...

Yaahoo!!! It's November. I can't wait to watch this 'concept video'. I bet this game will blow our mindzzzz!! Dodgy

FYI Boundoz, you already have built a community - a community of haters...

He's banned so we'll have to read about it in the press.

Sadly mate there will be no attempt from us at creating a game at this point in time. We were...hmm how to put this nicely....warned about certain legal ramifications if we made such an attempt. To say we got severely spanked would be an understatement.

For the record this had nothing to do with Big Ant.

Mate you were never going to make a game

I was going to be supportive, but then I remembered this.

"Actually mate we're in the process of putting together a team for exactly that.

After conversations with the NRL licensing people our product will have to be un-licensed which sucks, but being an indie team we cant afford a bidding war for the official license when the current agreement expires. However we are speaking with some IP specialists and a legal eagle on a sneaky way around this.

Blah Blah Blah..."

I'm just curious, who gave said spanking and what legal ramifications could there possibly be for making an unlicensed Rugby League game?

And way was it... when the timeframe of "Late November" was given... did I think "Early September"?

There would be zero legal ramifications making a rugby league game, an unlicensed nrl game would be troublesome, I'll support anyone having a go, I'm not even knocking this bloke, I just think he's telling fibs haha

Winning an IP battle and being able to afford contesting one are two completely different things.

Being an Indie team with limited funding, all it would take is one IP case to bring it all undone. Especially with the initial funding model we had chosen, which was my call and probably our undoing to be honest. Live and learn I guess.

But based on the advice of our lawyer concerning some of the correspondence he received it was best for us to walk away.

Happy to say you were all right and I was wrong. Facts are facts and I have come up empty.
