Yes, they do. They've seen the opposition's game and know what to expect in game 2. They can tailor their game-plan appropriately. The winner of game 1 has no idea what to expect from the loser in game 2. That is why historically, the winner of game 1 usually loses game 2.
Either way statistically whichever team wins the first two games has a big chance to go on and win the series

Yes, but that doesn't help the winners because the losers change their game-plan in game 2, making them the unknown quantity.
